This was my second time taking a road to Hana tour and it was even better than my first! Our tour guide Gayle was extremely knowledgeable and we learned so much about Maui's landscape, plant and animal life, along with Hawaiian history and culture. Her stories were both engaging and informative. The places we stopped were breathtaking - amazing views and she timed each stop so that there was never a crowd and we were able to get all of the photos and experiences we were seeking. I really enjoyed stopping at Tonys for lunch and being able to order off a menu as opposed to eating a pre-packed picnic lunch. She phoned in our orders ahead of time so that we did not waste unnecessary time waiting for lunch. The van was very comfortable and snacks and drinks were provided. She even helped my husband and I navigate our way into the waterfall for a swim and took pictures of use while we were in. All in all, it was a great day and an unforgettable experience. I would absolutely do this tour again and I highly recommend booking with Gayle as your guide if possible.

Ernie, our driver and guide, was with the price of the tour alone. He was extremely personable and shared his knowledge of the rain forest. He took time to answer all of our questions and make the trip customized to what we wanted to do. The van was very comfortable and we are so glad that we didn't try to drive the road ourselves. We were able to enjoy the beauty of the forest.

Lots of sights and views on this tour. If this is your first trip to Hana, I would suggest that you do this tour as opposed to getting a rental car. We had a group of five people and we were comfortable the entire time. Surfer Sue will give you a non-stop historical presentation and much of the information was very relevant and made the trip come together. Solid breakfast and lunch, as well. It is a long day, so be prepared.
