We booked our tour while staying at the Grand Wailea Resort. They use Temptation Tours. We booked the small tour, which is up to six people (I highly recommend). Very convenient, they pick you up at the hotel in a luxury van that has large windows and leather seats. Only 4 people booked our tour that day which made it even more of an intimate experience.
We had the best guide ! - Wayne Smith (Tempation Tours - highly recommend him). It rained a lot that day off and on , but it was beautiful ! Most important, Wayne new how to maneuver all of the twists and turns on the road to Hana. He had plenty of ginger candies for us so no one became sick from the curves. There were many stops, which were treats for us. We experienced everything from amazing scenic adventures, to the best banana bread on the island and shaved ice. Once we reached Hana, Wayne set us up with a delicious lunch beachside at picnic tables, so it was easy to sit and enjoy our lunch / walk around and see the sites. I had an ankle injury at the time and was able to easily get around.
Wayne was a wealth of information and history, which made the adventure even more fun.I can't even begin to describe the beauty we saw and experienced.
I highly recommend the road to Hana experience, the small driving tour, and Wayne Smith as the tour guide.
