My husband and I took the Golden Gate Bay Cruise which takes you underneath the Golden Gate Bridge and around Alcatraz island. It was well worth the money, very well organized with narrated headphones and awesome views. We even saw dolphins in the San Francisco bay. Don't think twice about taking this tour!

I enjoyed the experience of going on the Golden Gate Bay Cruise and seeing the Golden Gate Bridge from under it, along with the surrounding areas. It's not necessarily a must see but it's okay to do if you have the extra time on your hands.

My first cruise around San Francisco Bay and I am glad that I joined this cruise. (And I have been to San Francisco more than 5 times but all on land view point) Nice scenery and Excellent audio commentary on San Francisco history and basic geological information. Travel with family as a group of 6 and we all enjoyed this hour long cruise. Good for all ages. Boarding: I lined up about 15 minutes before the boarding time and I was in the middle of the line. It's a Friday in July and the line got quite long after that when a tour group showed up after me. Note: you can bring your own food and drink to the cruise ship. Audio headset (free included in ticket) will be provided after you board the ship. Make sure you get one as the commentary is highlighted of this tour. Really well done. There is a big sign showing which channel to choose for various languages. Lot of different languages for tourist all over the world. Sitting: Your choice of sitting outside or inside (different level.) Board the boat early if you want a good seat top level. My preference is sitting on the left side outside - when facing the bow (front) of the boat. I find sitting indoor is kind of stuffy air. and the tour starts with describing various point of interest on the left. Glad I chose the Red White Fleet 1 hour tour as this is a right duration. Travel with Family as a group of 6 and ticket do add up. The view is just something that you can't experience from land. Money well spent! Enjoy the view and learn about San Francisco.
