The entrance of SUMMIT One Vanderbilt is located on the Main Concourse Level of Manhattan’s Grand Central Terminal, inside Vanderbilt Passage.

All SUMMIT tickets are timed. You MUST arrive at your scheduled time, which is indicated on your ticket. SUMMIT operates at full capacity. You might not be able to get in if arriving more than 20 minutes after the time indicated on your ticket.

Any late arrival is subject to availability and a rescheduling fee

Dress appropriately to avoid unwanted exposure on glass and mirrored floors. We recommend wearing pants, shorts or tights when possible.
Wear comfortable shoes. Stiletto heels, steel toe boots, sports cleats and other footwear that can damage mirrored flooring are not permitted.
Outside food and beverage, smoking or e-cigarettes, large packages, suitcases, or weapons of any kind will not be permitted beyond the security checkpoint.
There is no storage for person items. Large bags, large backpacks and luggage are not permitted.

The 360 views from The Summit equal or surpass my favorite, Top of the Rock. Unfortunately, overcrowding and the overstimulating sound environment detracted from the experience significantly. Most of the special effects distracted from the enjoyment of the views ; however, the clouds from which our faces emerged was a totally unique and cool experience to view and also to get a souvenir. The"bubbles" or metallic soccer balloons would have been much more fun had the room not been clogged by deflated balloons and overactive revelers. When I remarked to the young man using a wand to corral errant balloons in the room that his looked like a fun job, he shook his head emphatically, replying "Not at all!" Due to the loud, insistent, atonal music and scary sounds puncturing the background, I would have rated this as 2 to 3 except for the stunning views and clever cloudscspes. Summit was a disappointment as an initial activity fn my 4 -day NYC re-visit. I'd love a chance to compare it to the Edge and the new Freedom Tower. I'd hate to think my age prevented my enjoying it!.

Went here at night on a warm October evening and didn’t know what to expect. Lines were crazy and the staff working were rude as hell. Like, seriously as rude as hell. That being said, it was so worth it! The views of the city are of course amazing but I really appreciated the themed rooms, the art installations, and the interactive element. The mirror walls and ceiling were insane but the real experience is the “levitation” option - standing on a glass platform 90+ stories above the street below. It was absolutely terrifying but thrilling - I immediately hyperventilated and couldn’t look down, but it was the most memorable thing ever. Yes this is touristy, but worth the money.

Absolutely fabulous what an experience seeing the whole of New York from so high up & especially the levitation area
