For those who think that it’s too expensive for just a balloon ride, you may be wrong. So we had to wake up early to meet with them before 0500 at Safeway’s parking lot. The crew Earl, is a funny dude! He explained stuff before u guys leave for a potential location to do the hot air balloon. Be patient when it comes to looking location at Phoenix, Arizona.
One the second location, they settle on a big desert land. They have this humongous hot air balloon that no one have. This basket can carry 21 people at the same time. It blew my mind off.
By watching them setting things up, I realized that the hard work and the knowledge to just setting it up with the price we are paying is not comparable! Randy the owner/balloon pilot is the nicest guy ever and very knowledgeable.
Do prepare to get the hot feeling while you’re inside the basket in the air because they have 8 propane tanks to work this huge hot air balloon. The view is breath taking.
The ride is about 45 mins in the air. It seems very long to me.
At the end of the ride, this come with breakfast & champagne or u can have the balloniemimosa (champagne with orange juice), a small prayer, you get a certificate and they do a small merchandise shop.
The food was yummy. We had vegetable quiche, turkey sausage, pastry and grape.
I do suggest to tip them generously! They work hard, very friendly, professional, excellent customer service and most importantly you can tell the crew is sync perfectly.
