Riding in a hot air balloon has been on our bucket list for a while. It was worth the wait. Be advised you must be at the gathering place by 5:30 a.m. to be transported to the launch site, so if you're not used to getting up while it's still dark, prepare yourself accordingly. There are ten people in the basket which makes for a cozy trip. The staff at the launch site and those who set up the balloon are very friendly, efficient and are willing to answer any questions you have plans prior to and during the flight. You get to see the crew prepare the balloon for flight which is an experience in itself. Once you're in the air the views of the wine vineyards and surrounding countryside are sweeping and breathtaking. Our ride lasted a little over an hour. Once we landed we were transported back to the gathering site where a continental breakfast awaited us. Also since it was my birthday, they had a Happy Birthday banner on the side of the basket and a birthday cake waiting! Bottom line...do yourself a favor and go for a ride un a hot air balloon. You'll be glad you did.

Wanted to do something special for my Anniversary with the wife. Searched around and came across a few companies that offered Hot Air Balloon rides. This company seemed to stand out to us from all the rest. I will have to say that the crew and staff were all amazing. Very nice and courteous. The flight was amazing too. Our Captain was David who owns and runs the company. He has over 40 years experience and we had a lot of fun discussing everything from balloons, wines, and music. I would highly recommend California Dreamin' to anyone. If I had to say one thing negative I believe the only thing would be due to it being a morning flight you had to be on the road before the crack of dawn. Thanks again to the staff and crew.

Our son and daughter with two grandchildren visited this June. One of the proposals for an activity was for all of us to go on a balloon over the Temecula valley. My daughter in law carefully researched the different companies and decided on California Dreamin Balloon Adventures. Without question that was one of the best experiences I have had and all of us thought the trip was great.David, the owner of the company and our pilot, is very knowledgeable about the history, geography and wineries in the Temecula area.He is also a very meticulous pilot for whom safety is paramount.We felt completely safe and comfortable in the basket. I must admit that I went with some degree of concern as I am not fond of heights, but to be truthful, I never really was worried one bit and was sort of disappointed when we landed as I could have gone on for a few more hours. After the balloon trip we were taken to David's winery Vindemia, for a continental breakfast with delicious bread, wonderful fresh fruit and cheese as well as mimosas and coffee. We were also treated to tastings of several excellent wines produced by the winery.The host and hostess as well as the staff were superb and treated us more like guests than customers. The only downside is that you need to be at the winery by 4:45 AM to take the balloon trip.
