When it comes to Colorado whitewater, hardly anyone knows about the San Miguel River. Which is kind of a surprise! Given how much fun it is, on top of being in proximity to bougie and beloved Telluride.

The rafting section is gorgeously scenic, exciting for all experience levels, and pretty much a must if you want to spend the morning like a local. Its red sandstone canyon juxtaposed by flourishing pine forests make for a picturesque setting to recreate on this Rocky Mountain river.

Anyone who loves the outdoors will have an absolute hoot on this tour, whether it’s your first or hundredth time rafting. Just ask our guides, most— if not all!— will agree that the San Miguel is their favorite river to run.

We had a party of 8 containing some adrenaline junkies and scaredy cats and everyone left happy. Robbie and John were so awesome. So friendly and happy and positive (not only with us but each other). In this day and age, where customer service seems to be extinct, it was nice to be treated like someone really appreciated our business. They did a great job, kept us safe, and we had an awesome time. Strongly recommend.

My wife and I rafted the San Miguel in middle of June with mild to wild and it was awesome. Waters were still high and the surrounding area was beautiful. Our guide Tanner Whitmore was super personable and made the trip great, what an awesome person. The rest of the crew was also great and very helpful.
