My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. It was informative, but our guide also incorporated a lot of humor into the proceedings, so if you're looking for an in-depth, scholarly tour, this may not be the tour for you. However, if you want to spend 90 minutes laughing out loud as you learn about the history of the Prohibition-era gangs of Chicago, I highly recommend it. I was particularly impressed by the creative way in which our guide was able to take some of the more sordid material and phrase it in such a way that it was family-friendly, but adults still got the idea. ("And his girlfriend was, shall we say...an illegal ballerina.") I also appreciate the professionalism of the company in terms of their prompt confirmation of our booking, the reminder text they sent me the evening before, their clear directions to the pickup location, and the prompt arrival of the bus. My only complaint was that we didn't have the opportunity to get off the bus for better looks at the locations we visited, and I wasn't able to get as many photos as I would have liked because I was sitting on the wrong side of the bus. However, I understand that the logistics of Chicago traffic probably would have made an on-off experience very challenging, if not impossible. All in all, we had a great time!
