No experience is needed, so all are welcome. Experience Class 3 to Class 4 whitewater rapids with a top-rafted rafting outfitter. Swimsuits and shorts work best. Secure shoes with a heel-strap are required (tennis shoes, water shoes, sport sandals with a heel-strap). Bare feet and flip-flops are not allowed. Don't forget to bring a change of clothes and a towel

We did the upper trip and had a great time! Our guide, “The Rev” Dean, was very patient and helpful with my young children. He offered plenty of history of the area, had a great knowledge of the river and was able to hit waves just right so that the kids got wet but didn’t fall out of the boat. We had a fantastic time, the scenery is beautiful and definitely will be back!

We had such a fun time rafting with Smokey Mountain Outdoors, especially with our guide Ziggy. Ziggy new so many fun facts about the area, the water, and the plants and wildlife! Plus his jokes were amazing! Highly recommend!
