Wycieczka Vanishing Mile Isle Beachcomber

Przegląd
Enjoy a two-and-a-half-hour adventure on your own private boat. Your Master Captain will guide you safely through the Calibogue on a falling tide to the isle. This mile long sandbar is exposed for only a couple of hours per day, allowing beachcombers the chance to collect sand dollars, seashells and the occasional shark's tooth.

We’ll stop along the way to look for wild dolphins playing in the sound. We’ll share information about the island, the salt marsh and the surrounding ecosystem. Your Captain is also a Lowcountry Master Naturalist, and will assist you in identifying the various shells, mollusks and other invertebrates to be found on this tour!

This is an ideal outing for families and small groups. With up to 6 passengers, there’s plenty of room onboard and a comfortable seat for everyone.

Captain Mark was super nice, funny, and knowledgeable and we will definitely be using him again in the future! Awesome boat ride, great time searching for stuff on Vanishing Isle, and we saw tons of dolphins during the boat ride! Excellent trip for kids and adults. Highly recommend doing this as a private trip with Captain Mark versus the larger boats - definitely worth it! Awesome experience - thank you Captain Mark!!

This tour should be mandatory if you have kids under 15. Where else do you get a fun experience for everyone, a unique experience to find 100s of tiny, live ocean animals, and a chance for kids to be curious at their own pace? The fact that Captain Mark knows everything and is a genuinely interesting person is a massive bonus. Such a golden use of 3 hours.

Captain Mark was an excellent host, taking the time to instruct us in searching for sand dollars, even finding some for us. We saw a mother and baby dolphin—definitely a highlight. We highly recommend this tour. It was our favorite activity!!

Thank you, Kandi, for your review! It’s impossible to have a bad day when you find a newborn dolphin in the waters. It’s always a treat! I hope the sand dollars made the journey home safely! Hope to see you next year!
