4
Park stanowy Spring Mountain Ranch
(Jeśli uaktualnisz swój pakiet wycieczek) Położony 17 mil na zachód od Las Vegas Strip, obok kanionu Red Rock, znajduje się park stanowy Spring Mountain. To po prostu spektakularne miejsce do oglądania zachodu słońca!

Nelson Ghost Town
During the late 1800’s, Nelson was extremely remote at the time with the nearest law enforcement in Hiko, NV about 200 miles away. This created lawlessness in true Wild West fashion with many prospectors being Civil War deserters with Renegade Indians hiding out in the canyons. After some time, the minors formed factions between Northern and Southern sympathizers which led to more feuding in the canyon, and killings, which at one point was everyday. There was a renegade Indian named “Queho”who was reportedly Nevada’s first serial killer near the area whose last killing was near the Techatticup Mine in 1919. Nelson was rebuilt after 50 years of inactivity with many buildings being restored to resemble the old mining town. Nelson was also used for two motion pictures, both starring Kurt Russell, Breakdown (1997) & 3000 miles to Graceland (2001). Since then, Nelson has been a destination for wedding photography, photo shoots, and a historical stop on the way to the Colorado River.

The dam tour was interesting. Was disappointed that we didn’t get a view of the downstream side. Also, did not include inside the dam. The ghost mine tour was fun and they had some awesome stuff to look at while waiting. Overall, an enjoyable day.
