We have done this exact whale watch twice. The first time we lucked out and saw many whales, this time only a few. Obviously this is no fault of the company's. We thought the crew was fantastic. Very knowledgeable! Our main guide had a marine biology degree and she knew what she was talking about). It was nice to be able to hear the crew members speaking clearly though the speaker system, regardless of where we were standing on the boat.
Our main issue is the amount of time it takes to load passengers. It is PAINFULLY SLOW. They make each party take a photograph before loading, obviously this is to make money off trying to sell them ($20) as you exit at the end of the tour. But it left us standing outside of the boat for close to half an hour. Standing there in the blazing sun for that amount of time really didn't make for a good start to our trip. My kids ended up hot, tired and all of us a little grumpy even before we boarded.
I should say though, my kids loved Dillon (my 9 year old said he was his "favourite") as he did a special presentation for all the kids on board. Great job crew. :)
