The price is right on this one and you're supporting a non-profit organization. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable, and we saw lots of whales. There are no freebies on board but they do have drinks and snacks for purchase. They guarantee you'll see whales or they let you go again for free, so you should probably book this early in your trip in case you need to take them up on that offer. We also did a snorkeling trip with another company, and actually saw more whales going to and from the snorkeling site than we did on the specific whale watching trip. So if you were thinking about doing both, you can probably get away with just booking a snorkeling trip and hope you see whales en route.

Took the 9 am two-hour trip today and saw numerous whales - adults and babies, some right next to our boat. The loudspeaker narration was excellent, and circulating guides were available to answer questions throughout the cruise. The boat was clean, and the check-in and boarding process very organized. I definitely recommend Pacific Whale Foundation.

We took our 3 grandchildren (6-10 years) on the whale watching trip including the aquarium. They all enjoyed both, it was educational and fun. We saw many whales, the hydrophone allowed us to listen to the actual whale songs, and the volunteers on board answered all the questions. It was worth the money spent.
