Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries
Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Guests will then meet their personal guide and recieve the necessary equipment Including: life jacket, helmet and paddle.
After your guide double-checks to make sure all equipment is fitted properly, guests then hop on our bus for a short 10-minute ride to the launching point for your trip.

Gillian aka Nemo was the best! We had a blast! My husband did this with family last year and had such a great time that he wanted to do it again. I was nervous at first but don't be because the guides are experts and not going to let anything happen to you! I would definitely do it again next time we come to Gatlinburg. Thank you Gillian!!

This group of people are great! Everyone from booking until you have done the trip and off the river! Jeff was our guide. Very knowledgeable, very friendly and takes you right where he should to have the best experience! Top notch group at Big Creek Expeditions

We had an amazing time on the Upper Pigeon River with Big Creek! We were rafting with a 70+ year old and (2) 10-year-olds. Big Creek made sure we were safe, even halting our trip at the last minute due to an unexpected and quick rise of the river level. We were able to get in on the next trip that day instead when it was safer. We really appreciated that! Jedi Mike was our guide and I couldn’t recommend him enough! We wouldn’t raft with any other company again after our great experience with Big Creek. Also, the rafting trip was the highlight of my whole family’s trip to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. Highly recommend!
