When visiting Boston, the Freedom Trail is a must-do activity, but why not see historic sites while drinking beer? Join Ye Olde Tavern Tours to see 10 sites on the Freedom Trail-including the site of the Boston Massacre and the Old State House-and grab a drink at 3 historic taverns. Beer and/or hard cider is included in the ticket price, so all you need to do is show up ready for fun.

Our guests want a unique and memorable way to learn about Boston's revolutionary (and drunken) history and for the past ten years, we have delivered. Our guides are expertly-trained historians who are also incredibly personable. Our founder, owner, and frequent tour guide has a PhD in American history and is a two-time author. We know our stuff and are passionate about sharing the most interesting stories.

We cap each tour at 12 people to provide an intimate experience. Ye Olde Tavern Tours is the most fun and social way to experience Boston!

See 10 historic sites on Boston's Freedom Trail, including the Old State House; Faneuil Hall; Old South Meeting House; the site of the Boston Massacre; and the burying ground of John Hancock, Samuel Adams, and Paul Revere. Stop at 3 historic taverns along the way to have a beer or cider in each, which is included in the ticket price, all while learning about the revoltuionary (and drunken) history of Boston.

If you love drinking and learning about history and fun facts, then this tour is for you! I had a great time visiting historic pubs and learning about how alcohol fueled the rebellion against the monarchy. Our tour guide, Brooke, was phenomenal! She is extremely knowledgeable and you can tell she is passionate about American history. And drinking! She is very personable and she made the tour fun, exciting, interesting all the while keeping the tour going at a nice pace. I really enjoyed the tour. So much fun. Highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience walking the freedom trail via the pubs. Rachael is an excellent narrator with lots of historical behind the scenes stories of all the independence characters. We had a fun couple of hours.

This was a terrific tour with our funny, knowledgeable, personality-plus guide. For those who don’t enjoy walking long distance, it’s perfect because you stop frequently and you sit, relax and enjoy a beer at three different taverns. It gives you time to meet the other people in your group and it’s a historically informative tour as well. My husband and I highly recommend this!
