Hop aboard our Zodiac inflatable fast boats for a guided excursion on the Pacific Ocean in Alaska’s Inside Passage! Take turns at the tiller driving or hang on and enjoy the ride. There are many tours here that allow you to just ride along, this isn’t one of them. Small groups of up to 3 inflatable fast boats follow a guide boat through the jagged coastline islands of Southeast Alaska in search of bald eagles nests, resident seals and sea lions, an immense array of inter tidal creatures and, everyone’s favorite, bubble-net feeding humpback whales! Clover Pass features calmer waters and often better weather than tours running in downtown Ketchikan so we love getting you out of town and away from the crowds.

Enjoy a beautiful spread of smoked salmon dip, warm crab and brie, hummus and other snacks and complimentary beverages (Beer, wine 21+ with iD) from the amazing view at the Salmon Falls Resort Restaurant after your time on the water.

Amazing tour went out and immediately saw a pod of orcas swimming by. They navigated us to get good views of the whales and knew everything you could want to know about the area.

I booked this trip independent of the Cruise. The booking process was simple, meetup instructions clear and all went to plan with good communication via text on the day. All timings including return were exactly as advertised. The fast boat ride out was great but I wouldn't carry coffee as part of the journey in the main channel was choppy on the day I went. Due to a cancellation by other guests I ended up with a solo tour but it still went ahead as planned. That is all the practical stuff! Matt ,my Guide took me around some of the small islands looking for bear and whales but without success, we saw Bald eagles including a nest , an array of starfish (sea stars) and some ancient indigenous peoples' pictograms which can only really be seen up close from a Kayak. The main thing I took from the trip however was the shear beauty of the shoreline and the peace and calmness that you can only get from a small boat with no engine. That is a memory that will live with me for a long time . My thanks to Devon, Matt and all the crew for a great experience . There was even a beer waiting for me once out of the Kayak!

Fun Boats! I had a great time on this tour! I always look for excursions that let me be actively involved instead if just riding along. Driving the boats was a blast and our guide knew all the best spots to find wildlife. Would totally do this again.
