Each tour is lead by an experienced Navajo guide, who is certified by the Navajo Nation Parks & Recreation Dept. and National Park Service. Each and everyone of our guides was born and raised in this Canyon De Chelly area, allowing them to gain a vast knowledge of its history to share with all our guests who visit this place we call home. As well as learning about the canyon's rich history, rock art sites and other archeological sites, you will hear stories and tales of life in the canyon and get a chance (time permitted and seasonal option) to visit our guide's families who still weave, farm, ranch, and continue to live a traditional Navajo lifestyle in this rural part of the southwest. Loved our safari ride thru the canyon floor with knowledgeable Navajo guide James. His knowledge is very impressive on history, traditions, family structure, agriculture, education and modern living on the reservation. Highly recommend this tour.

Amazing! Learn about the history from someone who lived it! Elsie was our guide, loved her and her stories from when she was a little kid...recommend doing this tour before you do the rim roads because you'll notice and see more from above when you have been educated about what's in the canyon

We had a wonderful tour with Leander. He gave us so much information about the Navajo people and culture. He also shared his experiences with us, growing up in a Navajo family. The canyons were beautiful, and it was a comfortable ride in his jeep with the top off. I would highly recommend this tour. There is so much to learn and appreciate about the Navajo people and their culture.
