Point Imperial overlooks the Painted Desert and the eastern end of Grand Canyon. You will fly through the Canyon above the North Rim heading south through the Dragon Corridor, the widest and deepest section of the Canyon.

We decided to take a helicopter tour over the grand canyon and decided to go with Maverick tours. We arrived at 1 for our 1:45 tour. We were weighed and checked in immediately. They have a nice little gift shop there to poke around in while you wait for your tour. Our pilot Matt came in and greeted us and another couple. So there were 4 plus of course the pilot. He was so nice. We were given a life "jacket" just went around your waist, and headphones. Instructed with the seat belt and we were on our way. Views are just spectacular and jaw dropping. It was worth every penny for that experience. Not for a minute was I scared or nervous. Just taken aback by the beauty. It was a 45 minute tour. Highly recommend it!

Everything, from start to finish, was perfect! Check-in was a breeze. Our pilot was highly skilled and full of knowledge. My seat was in the middle in the back and my views were not lacking in any possible way. The pilot provided so much information and was ready to answer every question we had! This, by far, was the best way to see a large portion of the Grand Canyon and learn a lot while having a breathtaking experience!
