Memorial Day weekend, my 14 year old & I visited Miami. Farouq was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and well spoken, easy to understand.
Tastings included Cuban coffee, ropa vieja (stewed beef), guava-flavored pastries, & Cuban sandwiches to name a few.
Calle Ocho was iconic with the walk of stars. Visited an original art museum and learned Cuban history of Miami and gained knowledge from a now American that escaped Cuban dictatorship which he explained the relations between the United States and Cuba.
Little Havana Cigar Factory was totally fascinating. True Cuban experience learning about the Cuban seed, growth & process of cigar rolling first hand. Very nice veteran who rolled over a million Cuban Cigars over his lifetime and taken his craft to perfection.
Domino Park was a fascinating competitive aura that was fun seeing elders intent on winning at dominoes.
Cubaocho Museum and Performing Arts Center where we learned all the stories and secrets of how Cuban Art was smuggled in the USA and see the largest collection of Cuban exile art. Very impressive story of the Ramos Brothers and the largest Rum collection in the country while sitting in the space full of furniture from Frank Sinatra's place.
Exceptional experience.
