Thank you for the overview of our service. How was the actual tour experience, though? Did you like the guides and their stories; how were the drivers skills navigating the city?
Tickets are not interchangeable between the Day Tour and Night Tour since they are different services and routes. The Night Tour is sold as a standalone ticket that can be added on to a Classic Ticket for $29; the Night Tour is included in the Deluxe Ticket.
Our brochure states the last bus of the day leaves Stop 1 at 5:00pm and has a full printed schedule of the last loop including times. The last pick up at Navy Pier is at 6:15pm in order to get the last remaining guests of the Day Tour around to their last stops. We do this for efficiency, as our team members for the Night Tour do the last loops of the Day Tour. They must prepare their bus for the Night Tour between the end of their Day Tour and their departure for the Night Tour. We didn't design our service in this way to inconvenience anyone, but to allow a proper amount of time for our team members to transition into our Night Tour service.
Our Night Tour is designed to see the city in three aspects:
7:30 - Sunset
8:00 - Dusk
8:30 - Night
It actually does start getting dark in Chicago around 8:30pm, even in July. All of our Night Tour departures do get to see Chicago in the night, just a varying darkness.
We're sorry to hear that our schedule couldn't accommodate your time in Chicago. Please visit us again earlier in the day to get the full experience and most bang-for-your-buck!
