I’m going to be honest and explain why you only get a 3 star.
I drive tour buses myself and I know how critical and crucial a 5 star review is so I hope the review I give will be considered.
We did two tours as a family. Day one was on Thursday September 5th and it was flawless, 5 star. The entertainment during the history and tour itself was top notch, only think is the driver should have their name written over the top jar just so we know who we are thanking,
That was for the red tour btw.
Then the next day 6th September, we did the blue tour. This is where you unfortunately faulter. We found it difficult to find where the pick up was, there was some road closures but still, you’ve enough staff, having a few directing people wouldn’t have been any harm.
When we arrived, there was two staff members, I asked them were we in the right place, I was informed I was but they seemed dismissive.i know they’re on commission but they could have updated everyone during the wait to explain how long we’d have to wait or at least gone to people talking to them instead of chatting to each other and ignoring we were even there.
When the bus arrived, my group (of 3) were forced to go downstairs, ok it happens but there was no air con, no windows and no fans even available. Of course when the first group left from upstairs, we went uso and got much needed air.
During the quiet times when the people weren’t talking, it would be nice to have a fun fact about the area and maybe some information about other tours or even some funny jokes. Just something to keep your guests and clients entertained.
Then towards the final stop, the bus stopped but there was no announcement to say this was the last stop, someone came up after a few moments to inform us. Just better communication would have made this a better review.
As I stated, I drive tour buses, I know to keep talking to people to keep them posted from the start of the tour. It’s one of a few things that could be improved.
I hope this review will be taken for consideration. It will just help your reviews get better and start the 5 star reviews becoming more of a common thing rather than a scarce rarity.
