We did our tour on Christmas night while traveling in FL. This was the perfect activity!! The 7 of us (ages 10-62) loaded up in the group raft and off we went. Our tour guide Kamary was great at reassuring us that all would be well as we entered the waters in the dark. He had tons of info on the area along with the BEAUTIFUL glowing comb jellies! They were amazing to see! Unlike anything we've ever experienced! He even helped us ALL catch them ourselves. We also got lucky to have a clear night sky and the stars were unbelievable!! Highly recommend if you are looking for an ADVENTURE, off the beaten bath (literally, you take a dirt road in to launch).

Had a great time. Went with my wife and son of 11yrs. We saw many Comb Jellies and got a chance to hold a few. It was really cool. The bio-luminescence was not really like the pics but we did see them glow. The guide (Ellias) did say we had one of the best nights this season. He (Elias) was very helpful and informative as well as his assistant (Alexis) who brought up the rear and made sure nobody got left behind. It's very nerve-racking when you fall behind and the lights of the other kayakers start disappearing. She helped my son, who was in a single Kayak, and tagged along with my wife and myself on the way back. Elias scooped a bunch of Cone Jellies to give us a hands on experience. Even if we had not seen any bio-luminescence, the trip would have been worth it. Kayaking at night is truly a very different and unique adventure. My wife does not swim, it was drizzling most of the time, and she still enjoyed it. Highly recommend this for anyone if seeking something different than the amusement parks. Of note, we did not have any issues with bugs, perhaps because of the weather being a bit chilly (70's), or the rain, or the bug spray we used. Also no issue with the bathroom. Just go before you get there, like they inform you, the one there is just an outhouse.

Overall good time learning about the wildlife refuge. Only negativity was that our trip was a bit crowded and caused for a lot of bumping with other boats on the path
