We rafted the on the Canyon Wave with our guide Double D. He was super knowledgeable and very experienced in White Water rafting trips. No one ever felt like we were out of control. 3 of us ended up in the water (voluntarily) and those dry suits really do work! Tip; if you want the biggest splashes on you, the front is where to be! We LOVED this experience and encourage anyone who is on the fence about rafting to go for it! :)

Communications was top notch and our guide DD provided a superb safety briefing which payed dividends. Our raft hit a large wave that threw over half the raft into the water. No one panicked and after everyone was hauled back on board we finished our run. We would highly recommend New Wave for a rafting experience and hope to use them in the future.

My husband, 15 year old son, and I attempted to book a last minute trip with a different rafting company, but they didn’t have availability for today. The front desk staff at our lodging recommended New Wave, as she had floated with them before. We were so glad that it worked out the way it did, as we had an exceptional experience with New Wave on the Canyon Wave Trip. Our guide, Sam, was knowledgeable, hilarious and very focused on our safety. It was a wild ride with some boat mates who weren’t great at following instructions but Sam ensured that we had a wonderful time while staying safe. He let anyone who wanted to get out of the raft float in the river beside the boat during a calm stretch of river, which my son really enjoyed. We lucked out with perfect weather and even spotted a moose and her two calves during our trip. I can’t recommend New Wave enough and count yourself lucky if you end up with Sam as your guide.
