I was in the Historic Charleston gift shop with my mom and we asked the lady behind the counter for a walking tour suggestion. She told us about a brand new company called Charleston History Walk that is run by a history professor at the Citadel. I was initially skeptical because I thought the tour might end up being similar to a boring college lecture. I could not have been more wrong as this tour exceeded all my expectations! It was obvious from the beginning how much Eric knows about Charleston history. He was a great speaker and clearly loves his work. We learned about so many different topics and saw places we would never have found ourselves. This was hands down the best tour I have ever been on. It turns out Eric just opened his company August 1st (which explains the small number of reviews) but he has been doing tours for several years as an independent contractor. I highly recommend Charleston History Walk by Eric, you will not be disappointed!

Eric shared his extensive knowledge of Charleston history throughout this 2 hour tour. He tempers serious history with humorous and fun facts that we found amusing. The tour covers a diverse sampling of the old city. Eric is also a charming and fun fellow to walk the city with. The tour is further enhanced by the limited group size.
