Definitely a five star tour. Guide Steve provided great history information. Chose this because we like the off the beaten path tour of alleys and hidden passages. Group was a nice size. Highly recommend!

Jim was our tour guide. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area we toured as well as other areas of Charleston. It was obvious that he has a true passion for the history of the Charleston area. I would definitely recommend the Sunday morning tour. Far less cars on the roads as well as less foot traffic on the sidewalks. I also suggest good shoes as many of the areas you walk through have uneven surfaces. Bring at least 1 bottle of water with you too. A couple of the areas you stop at have quite a few hungry mosquitoes buzzing around so bug spray is a good idea as well. I’m not normally a fan of bug sprays but I buckled and used it (thankfully Jim had some with him and he was willing to share). Definitely recommend this tour and definitely recommend Jim as your tour guide.

Jim was so knowledgeable! He was attentive to the high temps, making sure to stop in the shade. He took us through the cutest alleys and dropped us the only basement bar around!
