U.S. Custom House
Your route also includes a pass by the iconic U.S. Custom House in Charleston, S.C. Construction began in 1852 but was halted due to South Carolina's potential secession from the Union. The building was finally completed in 1879, adding to Charleston's rich history.

Michael and Teddy were wonderful. Learned a tremendous amount of Charleston history by our 7th generation host. Very knowledgeable and entertaining. Wonderful experience by the staff as well. Would definitely recommend this group for a carriage tour.

4 chaperones and 15 high school exchange students with World Heritage placed all over NC split up to take 2 separaye carriages to introduce them to Charleston. Despite heavy rain during most of our tour, our students and adults thoroughly enjoyed our two guides, the history, stories and humor they shated with us. Excellent tour! I ALWAYS include a carriage tour when I bring 1st time viaitors to Charlestown. Best introduction to this beautiful, historic piece of America!
