Me and my girlfriend did the full day tour in the everglades with Garl. We were glad we were well informed about what we should bring. Once in the everglades, our most amazing experience started. Not Just a ‘tour’ but an experience. Garl knew a lot about everything concerning the everglades: the vegetation, Climate and especially the wildlife. Even though It was the driest period in a long time, he knew where to find the gator holes and off course aligators, snakes, birds and later on crocodiles and manatees. In the kayaks, we blended in with the wildlife, joining with aligators and crocodiles in the mangrove. Garl’s knowledge and humor comforted us around the aligators, giving us a very very close view of their habitat. The various walks and kayak trips really made it feel a full day in the everglades, seeing new stuff every time. We enjoyed a beautifull sunset in the kayak with the keys as our view. After that, we got to see the gator habitat at night, and much other surprising nightlife which I won’t spoil. If you are in Florida and you want to see the everglades, not just an airboat ride: do this!!
- bring enough water (2 liter p.p. Was enough for us)
- fast drying and comfortable clothes
- make sure your water shoes are tight, real tight so you won’t lose them.
- See the videoclip on their website if this didn’t convince you :)
