Firstly, Suzette, who initially responded to my email queries, was one of the most helpful people I encountered on my trip.
The trip itself was incredible! I was initially looking for a shorter (cheaper) kayak trip but I had difficulty finding one. The full day slogging and kayaking trip was a bit more than my budget, but eventually I booked it anyway. It was probably the best investment of my whole trip.
Garl, the owner, was our guide. He is so knowledgeable about the glades and its flora and fauna. He's often asked to assist when National Geographic needs to film in the area. The slogging is literally through knee deep mud but it gets you into some of the most spectacular settings you could imagine. The kayaking is in fresh and salt water, so you see a variety of animals and plants. There were alligators close enough to touch (but don't!) as well as a variety of other amazing creatures. Nothing like sharing a drink while bobbing in a kayak and watching the sun go down. Absolutely unforgettable!
(PS. I also rented my camping gear from them).
