This wonderful Colorado River float trip is a gently flowing section that is inviting to all ages. You’ll encounter a few small rapids as the Colorado River winds through the Gore Range and Mountain Ranchland. This is a relaxing day with time to sunbathe, swim or just relax and enjoy the day on your Colorado River rafting trip. The Colorado float half day trip is available two departures per day. This trip departs from our Kremmling Outpost, where you will check in and load an AVA vehicle for the 30-minute drive to the Colorado River. We run from Pumphouse Recreation Area to Radium on this trip.

We had a great experience with AVA rafting. My husband wasn't feeling well the day of our trip and AVA was great about re-booking us without hassle. They day of our re-book arrived and it was quite chilly out but the staff made sure to offer us wetsuits, jackets, and even blankets in the boat. I was very impressed with their customer service. The float itself was great. We really enjoyed ourselves and even saw a beaver, osprey, and bald eagle along the way. The rapids were perfect for a beginner and the guide was great fun and very informative. I would recommend this trip and outfit to any beginner group.

We were visiting friends while in town from TN. I loved the raft guides and the gorgeous views. I did expect more rapids or a little harder adventure but this did not at all take away from our trip. I loved the gorgeous scenery. Even the ride there was jaw dropping. This is a perfect trip for families. I feel like my six year old would have been safe. The guides were personable and friendly. They provided wetsuits and splash jackets which was huge for us since it was like 40 degree. I legit almost canceled the night before because I was concerned about how cool it was outside. So glad we didn’t cancel! If you are considering this trip, I hope Alexander, Victoria, and Christian are all working! Carrie was our driver and was very safe!
