Unfortunately we only had time to do the short tour with about 1.5 hours to hike the trails. Would love to go for half a day and explore from over the top of the treeline and get all of the views. Incredible and would highly recommend!

What a great day! Tour bus driver, Don, was very knowledgeable and personable. Muir Woods is everything we imagined. Sausalito is nice but we didn't have much time. Did not take the ferry option so can't comment on that.

Booked this tour the day before. Meeting point at their office near union square. The bus big and quite comfortable, warm inside while so cold outside. No water or whatsoever from the tour. The driver is polite and knowledgeable. He spoke clearly and drove safely. Our bus was the first to arrived. So it was nice. Not many people since it was weekday, low season and a bit raining. The Muir is beautiful and a must visit while in San Fransisco. As the driver said, the little rain brought the nice smell of the forest. We spend 1.5 hour there. Couldn't even finish 1 trail since we have to make sure to get back to bus ontime. On the way out, we saw deer and turkey by the side of the road. So nice. Then we drove to sausalito. Quite short drive and we crossed the golden gate bridge. Sausalito is a very sweet and quiet little town by the sea. I love it so much. While waiting for scoma restaurant to open at 11.30, we have coffee and cookies in nearby bakery and cafe in front of beach. Love it so much. Nice owner and the store smell so nice. The cookies are amazingly delicious. Then we had lunch at scoma. We were seated by the corner with the sea view. It was the best. Scoma felt so homey and smell so good. The foods are amazing. Expensive but worth every dollar. Because we chose ferry to go back, we had a lot of time to have lunch, sight seeing and shopping at one cute suvernir store. Definitely a highlight of my holiday in SF.
