This tour was so fun! Dante is an incredibly gregarious person with a ton of personality and knowledge to share. He clearly explained expectations for the tour and took care of us along the way (water, restroom stops, places to grab coffee, etc). It was clear the focus of the tour was EATING delicious food and learning about the LES, and Dante definitely delivered. The nibbles at each stop were more than generous - I had a hard time finishing toward the end. One of my favorite parts was Dante took a real interest in learning everyone's names, where they were from, what they had done on vacation in NYC - and connecting us all to each other. It made the tour more fun when had connected with the other families. Kudos to Dante! He truly is a super nice guy. This is a must do on your next trip to NYC!

This tour was an easy walk through some of the most iconic eateries in NYC with a guide who is truly passionate about sharing his wealth of information about the area in a fun and interactive way. The food was delicious (of course) and the portions were perfectly sized. Whether you live locally, or are visiting NYC from any part of the globe, this is a wonderful way to learn about the past and present of NY's lower east side, eat, and meet some lovely people. So...put on your walking shoes and join Dante to (as his shirt says) walk-talk-eat-repeat!!

I had high expectations for this food tour (mostly due to the amazing reviews I'd read when trying to decide which tour to book), and Dante surpassed them all. Not only was the food plentiful, diverse, and absolutely delicious, but the whole experience was really fun. I've done other food tours that I've enjoyed, but i don't recall having real fun until this one. Dante is a great tour guide, though he feels less like a "guide" and more like a great guy who's hanging out with you and having just as much fun as you are. I can't recommend this tour, and Dante, enough. Oh, and a quick thank you to The Pickle Guy who gave us extra samples of pickled mango ad pineapple (both shockingly delicious) and fellow tour participant, Jackie who, being a New Yorker herself, offered to be our "Subway Tour Guide" and accompanied us safely home on the F train.
