I’m Captain Rich, and I want to take you fishing. My goal is to provide an affordable fishing excursion that helps both new and experienced anglers discover the joy of fishing in the local area. Fishing is an opportunity for you to bond with your family–when you take your son or daughter fishing you are away from the distractions of life. Fishing with your kids is a great opportunity to connect with them and really spend quality time. If you don’t know how to fish, but want to learn how so you can start building that quality time with your kids, I want to help you. On our trips, I want you to learn something new, catch some fish, and walk away with a great experience that you can share with your family.

I have had the privilege of fishing with Captain Rich more than three times now, all of which were unforgettable experiences! He is very knowledgeable having fished all around the world, with focus on NoVA. The charter is very well organized, and he comes well prepared with all the gear, and teaches you how to use it! Would definitely recommend!

I’ve been out a couple of times with Captain Rich. We did one outing at Occoquan that was a bit of a bust due to conditions, but Rich went out of his way to make sure we had some success. For beginners like me he’ll vary bait and tackle as needed to adjust for the situation so the day ends up on a high note. The second time was a beautiful day on the upper Potomac after some rain where we hooked about 40 smallmouth between us. His boat is ideal for two but you could make things work comfortably with a small third. I plan on booking again and taking one of my sons once they are more comfortable on the water. Overall Rich provides a great fishing experience!

I’m new to fishing, trying to learn some skills to take my kids fishing. Captain Rich has a lot of experience on the Potomac and delivered a fantastic and educational fishing experience. We caught 6 smallmouth bass and a catfish. He had all the gear we needed, I just had to bring myself. Looking forward to the next trip, and may just bring my son so his first fishing trip is a guaranteed blast.
