I can't say enough good things about this tour and the wonderful afternoon spent with Kathy and the rest of my fellow tourists. Kathy welcomes everyone as an old friend. You learn so much about the Castro on this tour and you leave it a better educated and well informed person. Do yourself a favor and book this tour.

The tour guide, Kathy, gave us a great deal of interesting information, but kept the tour casual and was very open to answering our questions. It rained the entire day, but the tour was still excellent. It starts at the Harvey Milk Plaza and ends at his old camera shop, which is now the local chapter of the Human Rights Campaign, complete with a wonderful gift shop. In between these sites were some very interesting locations and landmarks in the Castro neighborhood. My daughter and I just loved this tour and I'd highly recommend it to families with teenagers or any interested adult. If you take the subway, the tour starts just outside the Castro station.
