Bonaventure Cemetery is beautiful to walk alone. The history, uniques memorials, statues, and moss-laden trees. But Shannon Scott makes the cemetery come alive. Pun intended. He leads the group to the more famous and interesting grave sites telling the stories of the people buried there. He knows his history and his audience. He weaves the facts into interesting narratives that draw his group in to the lives and times of the deceased. He leaves you wanting more. My husband and I took the 10:00am tour and booked in advance. I highly recommend this tour.

Positively interesting and talks quickly so you don't get bored. We didn't know what to expect--had been on a cemetery tour in Buenos Aires, Argentina--a famous cemetery and loved it--this tour did not disappoint, many unusual stories--if you were to just walk through the cemetery without a guide, you'd miss 90 of what makes this one interesting.

In spite of the brutal heat and humidity we had a great time on our Bonaventure Cemetery tour. Shannon is a very passionate historian. He is also very very funny! This tour was easily the highlight of our stay in Savannah. I would give this tour five stars for sure! Maybe next time o the after hours tour on Halloween?!! Bravo Shannon!
