Sedona is great place to stargaze. The guide was knowledgeable with a documentary voice and cadence that added to the experience. The laser beam during discussions was a huge help to be able to follow what he was talking about in the night sky.
On this tour we looked at Saturn, Jupiter, Orion Nebulous, and a star cluster through the telescope, with many discussions about constellations and identifying stars, like Polaris.
The large tour group was broken down into seats ( with blankets) of 6 people with a large telescope and a couple of binoculars. It did take a bit of self-trial and error as a novice to get an optimal clarity looking through the telescope.
The only con was a group that dominated the main guide with questions the whole time, making it hard for other groups to get a question in. Guide could've done a better job at equalizing time moving around to each group after each telescope introduction. He stayed longer answering their questions, which was kind.
