This Grand tour included: (1) Swamp tour on the bayou, (2) Tour of the Oak Alley Plantation and (3) Tour of the Laura Plantation. The Swamp and Laura Plantation were full 5s!!! Informative, energetic and personable! Our driver was extremely information and had this excitement about New Orleans that was absolutely contagious!

However, the Tour of the Oak Alley Plantation was a total bore (100%) due do the tour guide. He did not make any eye contact and basically recited his script. It was also confirmed he has been a guide for several years. Disappointing. Please note, the Oak Alley Plantation has two magnificent views of 14 Oak Trees parallel down a path that cannot be missed!

Our tour was provided by TOURS BY ISABELLE and was well worth the money. We were picked up from our hotel by Dylan our tour guide. He then picked up our fellow travellers and we headed off for our high Speed Air Boat trip. (Well worth the upgrade) The Air Boat ride was amazing; the weather was perfect, Gary (our captain) was great fun and we had close encounters with 4 Alligators on our ride, scary but we got some great photos. We were on the air boat for an hour, could have stayed on it all day it was the best bit of our holiday. Back on the road and Dylan our tour guide gave us fascinating info on New Orleans and the Plantations. Next stop Oak Alley where we were treated to local cuisine and given a tour of the house. Our last stop was Laura Plantation where we were given a tour of the house and grounds. Full day tour, May seem a bit expensive if you are on a budget but would highly recommend it if you are limited on time and don't have a car while in New Orleans.
