The scenery begins to change as we increase in elevation and views of the cactus fade into pine trees. As we continue further into Northern Arizona, we will travel the outskirts of the Route 66 town of Flagstaff and from the highway, see the San Francisco Peaks among the seemingly endless Ponderosa Pine Forest, the largest contiguous forest of ponderosa pines in the world.

Williams will be our first stop along the tour for a chance to experience Route 66, the iconic American highway steeped in rich tradition. While in Williams, guests will have the opportunity to “get their kicks on Route 66” with walks along the original route, explore the local shops and capture souvenir photos highlighting a bygone era in classic American history. Also known as the Will Rodgers Highway, Route 66 is the most recognizable road in the United States and stretched 2,448 miles from Chicago to California upon completion.

Seeing the Grand Canyon in person was amazing! Booking the tour was easy and everyone at the front office was friendly and patient with all my questions. The ride to and back is long and made for a long day, but it can’t be helped since it’s along way from Phoenix! We were picked up on time. I agree with others that the stop in Williams, AZ really wasn’t necessary and we could have spent that extra time seeing the GC. I took one star off because I was not impressed with our tour guide, Robert. While he was friendly, he hardly provided any commentary on the drive up and didn’t talk at all on the way back, which made for loooong periods of silence. Also, quite a few times on the way back, his driving left something to be desired as it seemed like he might have nodded off as the tour van drifted out of the lane and he corrected it by literally jerking the steering wheel to get back into the lane. It was very concerning and a bit frightening. Glad we all made it back in one piece. Wish we had a different guide that others mentioned in their reviews.

Derek was our guide for the Grand Canyon tour. He was very knowledgeable and a great host, helping my husband with his walker etc. The canyon was awesome and the "narrative" very interesting. All in all a great way to spend my husband's birthday and mark one thing off the bucket list!

The trip was pleasant enough. Our tour guide Steve was very knowledgeable and friendly. Seemed like he really enjoyed being our tour guide and answered all of our questions. Painless pickup and drop-off. The one negative I would say is that the DETOURS of Arizona bus desperately needed shock work done - it was quite possibly the bumpiest ride my family has ever experienced. Other than that, a great experience.
