After departing the Phoenix metro area, our tour travels through the expansive Sonoran Desert filled with the native saguaro cactus. The scenery begins to change as we increase in elevation and views of the cactus fade into pine trees. As we continue further into Northern Arizona, we will travel the outskirts of the Route 66 town of Flagstaff and from the highway, see the San Francisco Peaks among the seemingly endless Ponderosa Pine Forest, the largest contiguous forest of ponderosa pines in the world.

Williams will be our first stop along the tour for a chance to experience Route 66, the iconic American highway steeped in rich tradition. While in Williams, guests will have the opportunity to “get their kicks on Route 66” with walks along the original route, explore the local shops and capture souvenir photos highlighting a bygone era in classic American history. Also known as the Will Rodgers Highway, Route 66 is the most recognizable road in the United States and stretched 2,448 miles from Chicago to California upon completion.

It was an early morning and a long drive, but John made it interesting with all kinds of good information. There were enough stops for a comfortable ride. The Canyon itself was breathtaking! This is a great trip for anyone who has a day free and wants to see one of the wonder’s of the natural world!

My first tour was the Sedona day trip with Memo as guide. He was so knowledgeable about everything. The day went almost 12 hours start to finish but every minute was delightful. Sedona is such a pleasant place and the red rocks are stupendous. My second day trip was with John to Grand Canyon. I’m so glad I was able to fit it in my weekend stay. It’s a long day too but so worth it. I opted for the helicopter fly over and that was the most amazing experience. Such a perspective of grand proportions. John was funny, informative and most knowledgeable about the area as he had first hand hiking experience in the canyon. There just aren’t enough words to describe the experience other than the trip of a lifetime. Just go!

I was in Tempe for ASU graduation with family and friends. Really wanted to see the Grand Canyon and booked this tour and had no regrets. Steve our driver and guide was so knowledgeable and made the trip even better. Would do it again!!
