Wow, this was the experience of a lifetime! Our guide Sam was incredible. He had so much knowledge from living in Grand Canyon Park and he was so passionate. I learned so much in addition to experiencing the amazingness of the canyon. The drive from Phoenix was about 3.5 hours and we made a few stops along the way. Once we got to the canyon, we did the Trail of Time which was spectacular. There were lots of places to take pictures in addition to seeing different types of rocks along the path from different periods of time. The walk took about an hour, and Sam gave us two hours, so we were able to explore the village at the end of the trail. On the way back, we stopped for a sunset which was amazing and also saw a herd of elk which was fun. Sam had all the best stops. Even our bathroom breaks were at cool spots with souvenirs etc. Overall it took about 12 hours total, so a packed day. It’s an experience I will never forget. Thanks to Sam and Detours so making our dream come true!

Literally breathtaking views. My body had to adjust being at such high elevations. The colors and depth of the view was awesome. Just couldn’t walk as far as I would like because of time and needing to take breathing breaks.
