We were part of a most delightful small group of 10. Our driver/guide (Gerry) was extremely knowledgeable and fun. She hand-picked 4 boutique vineyards/wineries. All the stops had knowledgeable wine educators or owners who spent quality time with our group!! We had so much fun. I highly recommend this tour!

I want to start with; my wife and I had a great time on the Platypus Napa wine tour and would highly recommend them to you. I have not been on a lot of wine tasting tours but I will tell you what I liked about this tour. First Kelly our tour guide was great; she was very informative and very approachable. Part of the fun of the tour was meeting and getting to know the new people on the tour and she did her part to break the ice for us to do so. Second there are many wineries in Napa Valley and picking wineries to visit on your own would be quite an effort so this tour lifted that burden and I liked that a lot. Third the four wineries we did visit were enough of a variety to give you a good taste of the Napa Valley wines. They were of a variety of smaller size wineries which allowed for quieter and intimate wine tasting experiences which I greatly enjoyed. Fourth wine tasting fees in Napa Valley are a fact and the tour price does not include them however Platypus Tours does get a discounted price for them which makes the total price of the tour very reasonable. Fifth and probably the most important thing is that you do not have to drive to any of the wine tasting locations, believe you me you cannot participate in any wine tasting and not feel the effects of the wine. This makes it safer for everyone and you can enjoy the wine and not worry about being impaired if you were driving.
