Explore San Diego's hidden gem of snorkeling! Everyone who visits San Diego knows about La Jolla, but did you know there's an even better snorkeling spot? Avoid the big waves and crowds with this more relaxed snorkel experience geared for all skill levels.

I taught middle and high school marine biology for more than a decade before committing to environmental tourism! With fifteen years of teaching youth and adults in outdoor education settings, plus my background in conservation biology, provides guests with in-depth (pun intended) knowledge of marine life during our snorkel.

Groups are small (maximum of 5 participants, with occasional exceptions for private groups/families) which makes a more intimate and personal experience.

Matt was an excellent guide. His detailed knowledge of the bay, along with his friendly attitude made our snorkeling experience a very enjoyable one. One of my friends was snorkeling for the first time and was feeling generally apprehensive about being in the water and snorkeling. Matt put him at ease by checking in with him often, and recommending adjustments to his equipment so that he would be comfortable. 10/10 would recommend!

It was such an incredible experience, especially for my first ever snorkeling adventure. I went with my fiance and we really had a great time; we saw a sea star, LOTS of fish, a sea slug, and even some octopus! Such a fun experience, and I would definitely recommend Matt to anyone looking to snorkel, beginners or advanced! Overall, 10/10 and I can’t wait to do it again!

10/10 Highly recommend this experience! Matt is the best snorkel guide lots of knowledge, great stories, kind, and clear safety instructions made this experience so memorable. Will absolutely be rebooking in the future. Highly recommend to get a wetsuit that’s snug to stay warm.
