Explore San Diego's hidden gem of snorkeling! Everyone who visits San Diego knows about La Jolla, but did you know there's an even better snorkeling spot? Avoid the big waves and crowds with this more relaxed snorkel experience geared for all skill levels.

I taught middle and high school marine biology for more than a decade before committing to environmental tourism! With fifteen years of teaching youth and adults in outdoor education settings, plus my background in conservation biology, provides guests with in-depth (pun intended) knowledge of marine life during our snorkel.

Groups are small (maximum of 5 participants, with occasional exceptions for private groups/families) which makes a more intimate and personal experience.

10/10 experience! Matt was extremely attentive to those within the group and to his surroundings. He has a very capable eye, which is important to see more marine life. There are plenty of animals to see within Mission Bay and as many times as Matt has done this not only does he know where to look but he is quite knowledgeable as well. Considering the location, the Bay has calmer waters, it is more than suitable for those who are not strong swimmers like myself ! However, whether you are a strong swimmer or not I still think this is a worthwhile experience.

I enjoyed this experience with two first-time snorkelers and Matt accommodated them very well. Matt is very knowledgeable of marine life and provided a great deal of interesting information about the creatures we saw. He is also very good at finding critters among the rocks and grasses and pointed out many that we might have otherwise missed. Matt is safety conscious and concerned for the environment. A worthwhile experience.

Ive been on several snorkel trips, but we had a first timer in our group who was nervous as they had never swam in the ocean before. Matt was great, fun & informative about the sea life we saw, but more importantly made sure the group was safe and took the time to ensure everyone was comfortable and fitted with the right gear. Highly recommend for first time snorkelers or not strong swimmers as the bay is very calm and there's plenty to see! Thanks again Matt!!
