On this tour, your friendly and knowledgeable guide will take you to three wineries for tastings. You will visit Sonoma's top historic landmarks and enjoy lunch during one of the scenic stops. The tour starts at 10:00 and and ends around 4:30.

I have to say that I was not thrilled with this tour. First of all, we were picked up by a large tour bus, not a trolley. We were told by the driver that the trolley was in the shop and would perhaps be available later in the day but for now we had the bus. As the bus was filled, it became quite warm and we became aware that the air con was not reaching the front of the bus. Very uncomfortable. We were taken to four wineries. No complaints about them, but we felt only one was a little different. We felt the wine was just ok. WE were offered mostly zinfandel. All the wineries charged extra for tasting, which we knew ahead of time, but it did add up. Count on an additional $116.00 for two on top of the $99.00 per person charge for the bus/trolley. As for the actual "tour", it was non existent. Absolutely no commentary whatsoever on the ride between wineries. We were told there was no mic on the bus. What?!? Just not a fun trip at all. We've been on other wine tours in other areas and they are fun and informative. We were ready to call it a day after lunch on this one and actually several people on the "tour" were sleeping between stops. We never heard any more about what happened to the trolley tour. We had the bus the entire time. Not worth the money.

Dear valued customer, Like any older motor vehicle sometime we have to have items inspected and repaired to keep things safe for our customers. We do all that we can to be proactive and keep the Trolleys from breaking down but at times we can not for see somethings. Because of this we offer the following statement on your booking form and our website: "General Terms and Conditions for Napa Valley Wine Trolley" All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. Price does not include tour guide gratuity and winery tasting fees. Napa Valley Wine Trolley operates “Rain or Shine” year-round. However, in the case of severe rainy weather or unforeseen mechanical problems, we may have to substitute the trolley for a mini-bus. If your tour has to be conducted on a mini-bus (for any reason) we will discount each ticket holder $10 off the price of the tour." Therefore we are happy to offer you the $10 off for the tour itself.

Leif our driver was great. Trolley was super cute and lunch was awesome. The best part was Ravenswood they met us with smiles and glasses of wine then they took us to see the vines and told us their history. Ravenswood staff was knowledgeable and fun the best wine of the tour too.

Ravenswood is a wonderful stop and the Sonoma Valley Wine Trolley has been going there for a very long time because of the many wonderful 5 star reviews they help us get. The truly enjoy having us visit. Thanks for the comments. Leif is not so bad either....

Enjoyed the open-air "trolley" vs. a closed-up tour bus. Fun tour with knowledgeable guide/driver and quality wines. Two of the tasting locations were excellent, while two of them were mediocre with uninteresting hosts. Still a good tour that I would recommend.

Thank you for the review. The host at the winery makes all the difference. Our guides sometimes would like to take over and do the wine education as well but they have their hands full keeping everyone on time. A great wine tour for Sonoma. Thanks for riding.
