Sonoma Valley

Your day in California wine country starts as you hop aboard the Sonoma Wine Trolley, modeled after the famous historical cable cars of San Francisco. Enjoy the breeze as your knowledgeable tour guide whisks you off to four outstanding Sonoma-area wineries, known for both their wines and their hospitality. Each wine tasting takes place at the winery and a representatives at each winery will explain the different varietals you’ll sample and the background of the wineries (wine tasting fees are not included and you can expect fees of $30 to $40). There will be wonderful photo opportunities on this tour and your friendly guide will be happy to take a photo or two of your group so you can document your memorable day in wine country.

It was my first time in Sonoma, so my husband and I decided to use the Sonoma Valley Wine Trolley to take us on the tour. Our overall experience was excellent; we had fun, we learned a lot and visited excellent wineries. Our guide Will, was very helpful and pleasant. Plus the other people on the trolley were very nice so we all mingled pleasantly.

We did both Napa and Sonoma tours and found them both great and providing a variety of wineries to visit from commercial to boutique. Some provided the wine-making process others gave tours of the vineyard. The ride on the trolley was beautiful. The open air cars were great and it was so nice not to drive after all the wine sampling.

And each county has their own type of wineries experience to enjoy. We are glad that we were able to show you both sides of the growing regions on our Wine Trolleys. We are also glad that you enjoyed the “Open Air” experience! You will need to come back at harvest and crush! That is truly a completely different experience. The aroma of wine is literally in the air! In the event that you are ever in the area again, please look us up! Rumor has it, harvest may start in 6 weeks! We would love to see you again!

Had a great time! With so many wineries in the area it was great to sit back, enjoy the scenery and know that each winery was expecting us! The selection of wineries was great and refreshing to visit the smaller wineries that take such pride in producing some of the best wines from the area.The trolley driver was great and very informative, along with the tour guides who shared their knowledge of wine with us! It was much more than just tasting some wine and moving on to the next winery...met some very nice people on the trolley! Would recommend this tour and definitely take it again!
