Nina was a fabulous guide. So knowledgeable we didnt miss a thing. She also got us discounts at the shops we visited along the way. Top that off with hot bread and mozorella balls courtesy of Nina, and the day was sensational. Not sure what we enjoyed more: the in-depth info about the area, the food, or the Mosaic Garden.

My boyfriend and I took this walking tour a few weeks ago, and Chuck totally made the experience. He tailored the experience to us entirely and was quick to recommend more for us to do that day. He is a local and had a ton of knowledge about the history of South Philly and the Italian market. Nearly every shop owner on the street knew who he was. Absolutely recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning more about Philly!

Five of us have a reunion every year in a different place. We couldn't have started our Philadelphia reunion any better than with this walking tour of South Philadelphia and our great discussions with Josh Silver, our fantastic guide. Josh knows and loves his City, and makes a point of knowing the real people who give the neighborhoods we visited their character. He was very accommodating, focusing on the things we asked about and clearly wanting us to enjoy our explorations. He has also studied urban history and could engage on more than one level - after I returned home he sent me some articles relating to a conversation we had on the tour. Fun and memorable.
