Alongside a costumed guide, you visit cemeteries, the ground of the Old Fort, and other haunted locations to discover the little-known legends that surround the romantic venue. This small-group tour is limited in order to maintain an atmosphere suitable for the ghost walk.

  • A Ghostly Encounter’s Storm Policy (as follows)
  • 1. A Ghostly Encounter tours operate rain or shine. Florida weather changes rapidly and is unpredictable, and we monitor our weather prior to all tours.
  • 2. If lighting is present in the area: we will delay the start of the tour for 20 minutes to give the storm time to pass, then proceed as normal.
  • 3. If lightening remains present in the area, management may decide to reschedule the tour. Guests will be moved to the following evening’s tours or to the nearest date convenient with the group.
  • 4. If rescheduling is not convenient, each guest will be provided a voucher for a future A Ghostly Encounter tour, subject to availability. For offer to be valid, guest must present the voucher directly to our office staff upon returning to St. Augustine or speak directly with the office staff to reschedule (not through a third-party booking site). Please remember to bring your voucher with you. Lost or forgotten vouchers will not be honored; however, vouchers do not expire.

The tour was closer to 2.5 hours and was very long with limited ghost content. I thought there would be more stories. Time could have been cut by half to speed up stories. Some fun history, some ghost stories and some walking around St Augustine were nice. I’m glad I tried it but don’t think I would recommend as a must do.

We’re disappointed you didn’t fully enjoy your experience with us. In the art of storytelling, the timing and length of each presentation varies greatly depending on how busy the town is, size of the group on tour, traffic while transitioning from place to place, etc. We encourage our guests to not only relax and enjoy their time with their ghost guide, but also take in the sights and sounds of the Nation’s Oldest City as well. Things move a little slower here in the south and we wouldn’t change a thing. Thanks for taking the time to respond and have a great Fall.

What a great experience! Our Sheriff, Artie, combined historical facts with local knowledge of the unexplained. Very informative and interesting, a must do while visiting St. Augustine!
