My wife and me booked this 1 hour bay-trip the same day. We had a hick-up in our booking to visit Alcatraz , so we had to go for next best. We didn’t regret this at all. Very nice city view, sea life, golden gate and of course a short round to see Alcatraz from the sea side. We enjoyed every minute of the trip. We had very nice weather which I believe made half of the trip. Only minus was that the sound from the speaker system was not living up to the standard you would need. Couldn’t hear more than 1/4 of the story telling.

It seems that we had a choice to either be inside, where the narrative was audible most of the time but the views were obscured , or outside where we could see the sights but not hear any of the information over the loudspeakers. Way too many people packed on board this ship. I’ve done this cruise before, several years ago, and don’t remember being so very disappointed. I couldn’t wait to get back to the pier and disembark.
