As others have said, the level of enjoyment is somewhat dependent on the tour guide - a good one with enthusiasm and knowledge for both the Red Sox and wider game makes it all the more enjoyable. I too went when the field/pitch whatever was largely covered.in seats for The Who /Billy Joel concerts but that was a minor disappointment (you don’t get to walk on or even near the pitch these days). You still got to see a lot, you got to try out the original wooden seats (small for my fat arse!) and you just get a feel for the place. Yes, the tour groups are on the larger side but if everyone is considerate of others, you all get to see everything and ask any questions you want. Even got to see their World Series ‘18 winners trophies up close and personal. Lots of steps around the place - surprised Tripadvisor is advertising this as an ‘accessible tour’.

This is certainly a historic site. Lots of wonderful, interesting architecture. The security entry was a little more difficult than other parks. Lots of signs to get to our seats but no ushers (?). We were in a lower box section that we found ourselves. Seats were new and the row was a little tight be comfortable. Angle of seats toward home plate were not ideal. Fans around us were friendly. We were able to move seats several times as the game went 15 innings. Lots of activity around park before game and still some places open at 1 am. Definitely a must for baseball fans.
