I loved Washington DC. I arrived at the meet up spot around 6.30am for 7.00am and found people already gathering. The roll call process was a little rusty to begin with as our guide just called out people's names and it was a little hard to hear and people just gathered around him even if they had their name called. There were also two buses (one for Italians (for translation) and the other for English) - it was confusing to some people as to which bus to get on as it wasn’t signed and you’ve got 50 odd people not knowing what was going on, that might need to be better organised in future. Other than that the whole tour was fantastic - we got to explore several sights (Lincoln Memorial / Korean War Museum) before heading off to the White House, Capitol Hill, Air and Space Museum and Madame Tussauds. Overall great tour and well organised.
This trip is just like they say. Actually better. You see everything and more. Was pretty fun and not boring. You spend plenty of time at each site. The wax museum is better then what people say and you will have fun there too. Only negative is in the morning. Its kaos. They let people cut in front of you in line for the bus. People are not courteous. They need to make a real line instead of the mess thats happening now. Would be a smiple fix since there are more then one guide. The guide sits on the bus and checks you in while the other one doesn't do much. Fix the line to get on the bus and you will have a lot more happy people. Yes you will not like the way they board the bus while you are half alseep but the rest of the trip is great. Dont listen to the complaints about the food stop, the first one has 6 places to eat and lots of bathrooms. At the museum you can eat but its only McDonalds and boston market.
The only fault I could find was not enough tine near Lincoln Memorial and the other memorials, could be done by excluding wax museum stop. Long day with 2/3 in travel. Would visit Washing again but need to stay there
