You will first view the very important movie . . . it will help you understand what Crazy Horse is all about. This is a picture perfect setting for our picnic lunch (included). Peaceful, tranquil and quiet.

Wildlife Loop Road

Custer Park is 71,000 acres and is the largest State Park in the US. You will tour the most important locations and see an abundance of wildlife (14,000 head of bison and deer/antelope/elk/prairie dogs/cayotes and more. We stop for feeding the Begging Burros (we have snacks). And we make many restroom breaks and a lot of photo ops. No need to exit the van . . . just stand and you get 360 degree views. Woody Vans have individual leather reclining window seats, center aisle and 10 ft sliding top. Open-Close as needed to make for great viewing and guest comfort.

Clay was fabulous! He picked us up from our condo right on time and then gave us a day we will always remember! Clay is very personable, funny and very knowledgeable about Mt. Rushmore, the Black Hills, etc. We saw more than we could have on our own! The history and beauty of the area is fantastic, but to learn all the stories behind the scenes, so to speak, made this trip extra special! HIGHLY recommend Clay!!

As a retired rancher from the Badlands of ND he has a wealth of knowledge about the Dakota's. He's a "Jeep Guy" and spends time exploring the Hills in his Wrangler, continuing to learn additional history of the region to share with our guests. Our guide, Clay, picked us up promptly at 9 AM at the Rushmore Keystone motel..He was very knowledgeable about the area. We had an open top van which was fantastic as it allowed us to stand-up and view various things without having to get in and out of the van every time we wanted to view things or take pictures.We visited Custer Park, Mount Rushmore, spires, cathedral spires, needle eye and Crazy Horse. He provided water and snacks and bought lunch at Subway and we went to a park to eat. It was a wonderful day. On the way to Crazy Horse, it looked like rain. We beat the rain to Crazy Horse and after the movie, there was a beautiful rainbow over Crazy Horse. I had texted them a week earlier and asked about changing our day and they were very cooperative and accommodating.

He will share information about the Black Hills and our Badlands of South Dakota . . . and since he was previously a rancher in western North Dakota . . . he can make suggestions about touring their Badlands and the Theodore Roosevelt National Park. One of the best things about our Convertible-Top-Tours is the ability to adapt to the ever-changing weather of the Hills. We constantly adjust the convertible top for the comfort of our guests. The tour bus came to our hotel to pick us up and was right on time. The driver (Larry) was very friendly and always kept us updated on what the next stop would be. He took us to pick out our own lunch and he paid for it and put it in his ice chest. Then our day began and he told us so much about each stop we made. It was very evident that he knew the area and loved the area. He answered all of our questions and made us feel right at home. I would definitely recommend this tour group and would use them again.
